Materials

To get started, gather the following materials:

  • Any 4-Medium (Worsted) cellulose yarn. I used natural raffia yarn “Raffia” 5.2 oz / 251 yds (or any yarn with that footage)

  • 3.5 mm crochet hook
  • Blunt sewing needle

CROCHET PATTERN

The visor is crochet in continuous rounds / spirals.

Start with 11 ch. Starting with the second ch Row 1 - 1 ch, inc, 1 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 1 sc, inc. You can put a marker on the 1st row

Row 2 - 2 ch, in the 1st sc - hdc, inc, 10 sc, inc, 2 hdc in the 2nd ch. On this row, we mark the edge ch and the last half double crochet.

Row 3 - 2 ch, in the stitch 1 hdc, 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 2 sc, inc, 2 sc, 2 hdc in the 2nd ch.

Row 4 - 2 ch, in the 1st row1 hdc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 10 sc, inc, 4 sc, inc, 2 hdc in the 2nd ch

Continue crochet in continuous rounds / spirals, 1 ch, under 2 ch of 12th row - 1 sc. Under hdc of 11th row - 1 sc. Under 2 ch of 10th row - 2 sc. Under the hdc of the 9th row - 1 sc. Under 2 ch of 8th row - 2 sc. Under the hdc of the 7th row - 1 sc. Under 2 ch of 6th row - 2 sc. Under the hdc of the 5th row - 1 sc. Under 2 ch of the 4th row - 2 sc. Under the hdc of the 3rd row - 1 sc. Under the ch of the 2nd row - 2 sc. In sc of the 1st row - 1 sc

On the 1st row 10 sc

Under the ch of the 1st row - 1 sc. In the 2nd row (last hdc) - 2 sc, in the 3rd row (ch) - 1 sc, in the 4th row (hdc) - 2 sc, in the 5th row (ch) - 1 sc, in the 6th row (hdc) - 2 sc, in 7th row (ch) - 1 sc, in 8th row (hdc) - 2 sc, in 9th row (ch) - 1 sc, in 10th row (hdc) - 2 sc, in 11th row (ch) - 1 sc, in 12th row (hdc) - 1 sc. The total number along the inner edge of the visor is 17+10+17 (44 rows). Connect in a circle with ss.

Without cutting the thread, crochet 50 ch and join from the other corner. You can measure it on your head and make it to your size.

11 ch along visor - 44 sc for front loop, 50 sc in chain.

Join in a circle with ss in the 1st sc. 1 ch, same row sc.

and then continue to crochet 93 sc in the round. Connect each row into a circle with a connecting row and crochet the 1st sc into the same row. Crochet 5-6 rows in this way.
